Doctoral Contract Summary Form

Applicants must submit a single PDF file containing the following, in this order:

❶ the duly completed “Doctoral Contrat Summary Form,” indicating in particular the name of the thesis supervisor and the name of the research unit concerned (required);

❷ A detailed research proposal (10 pages max.) including the scientific project, the state of the art, the research questions, the research methods and fieldwork (including feasibility and any ethical issues), planned collaborations, the provisional research timeline, and the bibliography;

❸ A CV detailing your educational background, research experience, and completed theses;

❹ Transcripts and certificates of completion for the first year of your Master’s program (M1) and the second year of your Master’s program (M2). Candidates currently enrolled in M2 must provide proof of their thesis defense and a transcript (possibly provisional) no later than Monday, June 29, 2026 (i.e., two days before the interview); only transcripts issued by your student services office will be accepted;

❺ The completed and signed project evaluation form, signed by the prospective thesis supervisor and countersigned by the director of the relevant research unit;

❻ A summary of the Master’s thesis, outlining the research question, methodology, structure, bibliography, and results (2-10 pages maximum, excluding the bibliography).

To be considered, the application must be complete and submitted on time. Any application that does not comply with these requirements will be rejected.

→ Applicants must submit their applications to the Doctoral School no later than Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at 12:00 PM (strict deadline) in PDF format by email to: ed624.sds[at]u-paris.fr

→ Interviews will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, all day.
